Happy Birthday to ME!

I can hardly believe I’m turning the big 5-0! 

I’ve never had a hangup about that number or any other one really (except 35 for some odd reason).   People joke with each other about getting older.   Sure, we get aches and pains that we didn’t have before and many – many other physical and mental changes. Some not so ideal. But to me, getting older is a good thing.  It signifies life.

I was so excited to receive my AARP membership invite in the mail this week.   It represents so much more than just great discounts (😁). It energizes me for the next stop on life’s journey, makes me excited for what is next, and provokes a declaration of “let’s go”.    As the number of our age grows larger, let’s take stock in what we have, where we can still go, and truly appreciate the gift of getting older.
