Amanda (Locket) Moon

Good day folks! The above picture is my (Lisa Bray) twice Great Grandmother, Amanda (Locket) Moon who was born in Albemarle County, Virginia on August 10th around 1860. Amanda was married in 1888 in Covesville, Virginia to Moses Moon. Amanda and Moses eventually moved to Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania and raised eight children. The local Vanderbilt newspapers of the early 1900s are filled with exploits of the Moon family in government, business, school and church. Our company has chosen Amanda to be one of our spokeswomen to represent us. As you can see from the portrait, Amanda was a very poised and distinguished woman who paid attention to the smallest of details. What better spokesperson could DEEP ROOTS ask for?
